Entering the Ring...

Andy Sayers, otherwise known as Strategic Alliances Director at BakBone Software, has taken up the challenge and entered the CRN Fight Night taking place on 29th May 2008.


His training has begun in earnest and he regularly pounds the streets in a variety of European cities whilst away on business. During his recent trip to Frankfurt he ran so far he had to ask for directions back to his hotel ... someone send this guy a Sat-Nav!!
Andy's commitment to this challenge is unshakable. His fitness schedule already contains regular training sessions at the state of the art, private boxing club based at CityBoxer in Southwark, London.

Square Up!

On 29th May 2008, 16 contenders will fight it out in the ring at the Brewery, Chiswell Street, in the City of London to raise money for a host of worthy charities. Over the past few weeks aspiring boxers have been put through their paces at the world famous Ring Boxing Club in Southwark and bouts will be announced shortly.

In conjunction with Cityboxer, contestants have been undergoing a rigorous 3 month training regime with a personal trainer at the world famous Ring Boxing Club in Southwark. The 16 contenders are a force to be reckoned with; resellers, distributors and vendors from the IT industry.

The evening, hosted by CRN will be accompanied by a three-course black tie dinner and charity auction. Andy 'The Saint' Sayers supports Friends of English Martyrs.

This charity supports a very small rural school in Oakham, Rutland. English Martyrs Catholic Primary School endorses a policy of ‘Every Child Matters’ throughout the school allowing children of all Faiths, Ethnic backgrounds and Abilities to participate fully in a warm, loving and accepting school environment.

Friends of English Martyrs are a group of volunteer parents who work tirelessly to keep this amazing school open and help provide specialist equipment and resources for all the children.
The charity supports disadvantaged children and their families and helps to pay for cultural, social and educational experiences that they would otherwise be unable to benefit from. Recent projects have included fundraising for outdoor sensory fitness equipment, interactive IT tools for each classroom, specialist reading and handwriting materials and theatre experiences.
